AISnet

Aim of this software: web surfing through a customisable protection mask, so that the user (of the kiosk) can only surf the web in a supervised manner and cannot use the internal PC for any use other than that specified (for instance the user cannot visit blocked web sites or use software that is not permitted).

The software comprises 2 parts:

1) An input form that allows you to choose the functionality and aesthetics of the mask.

2) Automatic setup of the relevant application; other features include, for instance, the creation of log files (giving you detail of every key pressed and every website visited), which allow you to obtain statistics about the information requested by the users.

Features:

1) The option of specifying the names of the websites that may be visited. If the user requests a blocked website, a message will appear a message (which you can modify), telling the user that the requested site is not allowed.

2) You can choose a website or screen to be the default screen. If AISnet has not been used for a period of time, you can set a number of minutes after which the program will return to the default.

3) The "AISnet" mask covers the whole screen (except the Internet Explorer window). In other words, the user cannot use the mouse/ touch screen/ trackball/ touchpad/ mousepad to access anything other than the mask and the websites.

4) Features of the mask:
- You can set the dimensions and position of the window in which the websites will appear
- You can change the colour and brightness of the mask and the colour of the threedimensional sides of the mask
- You can input a command to activate the virtual keyboard and a command to hide the virtual keyboard
- You can provide a facility for sending e-mails
- You can choose images to appear on the mask, e.g. a logo, or some text. You can specify the position of the images on the mask
- You can add an advertising banner
- The option of choosing the buttons that appear on the mask. You can fix the dimensions and position of these buttons. You can insert any text on the buttons. These buttons include: the "refresh" command, the "home" command, the "forward" command, the "back" command, the 4 arrow commands: left, right, up, down, the "print" command, a button that searches for a URL, 10 buttons to which you can asign a link to a website or an HTML file from the hard-disk, a button for changing to the AIS 3.1 software, etc... etc...
- The option of selecting other languages (max. 6)
